I've listed login info below. To see everything the site has to offer you will have to use the login provided though. I know that I atleast need to create a new banner for the top. The current one is a quick edit that I just threw up there temporarily until I become a little more graphically inclined and can create something nicer or until I come across some kind person willing to make me one :-P lol. Keep in mind this is my first real attempt at modding forums and going in depth with customization. (i've had several different message boards up before but never knew of sites like vbulletin.org where i could learn this stuff so they all stayed very plain).
optikal-illuzionz.com started off as an online gaming forum for people I used to play games with on xbox live and pc. The community became pretty popular for a while but eventually most of us stopped playing games and I shut down the site. I recently brought the site back and am just getting things off the ground again so right now it is still a small comunity. Anyways, for those interested (or just wondering where the random name came from), there's a little background on my site. Please let me know what ya think. Thanks in advance for any input given. :)

There's a typo in your header image. "Boyond reality" should be "Beyond reality".

i dont like your logo and i remember looking at your site earlier on and thinking that the logo u had on it at the time the grungy effect one looked a lot better than the one you have now.
What happened to it?

I just changed it today actually. I was just in a hurry to get something up that was a little less plain. I'll try to find a happy medium with the next one. A little more going on but still keep the darker grungy look to it.

New logo is a LOT better than the old one.
Thank you for the feedback. The new banner was actually made by a user on vbulletin.org, Brueskie.

Not too shabby. Although I would change a few things but I'm sure you use them so I will shut up now. ;)
Unless you have the branding free option, I would add the vb copyright back, also. ;)

Thanks, the purpose of this thread is to receive feedback, both good and bad. Constructive criticism is more than welcome. I promise not to cry too much. What would you change?
...and I do have the branding free option. ;)

I also have that option. Ain't it great? ;)
I would get rid of the shoutbox. And set the avatar sizes down a bit. You have some mighty big ones in there and the animation of those just slows things down especially for dial-up users. That was just from a quick check. ;)

yeah I've been thinking about lowering the avatar size a bit cause sometimes it throws off the template a bit. I don't know if I can do without the animation though cause I like the funny animated av's too lol. I think reducing the avatar size is a good start though.
the chatbox is something I don't think I could get rid of now because everyone likes it so much but I did notice that it put a huge dent in forum posting at first. now it has kind of balanced out though. its one of those things i almost wish i didn't install but can't really do anything about now because it's popular on the site lol. if i ever decide to really try to make my forums big and earn real money off of it i'll have to get rid of it. right now its a small close community of people who have all known eachother for a few years so its not too big a deal.
thanks for the input though. :)

For me Don't like the way the casino and a few other things break the template, I prefer fixed templates but maybe you'd be better with a fluid one

really I wish I had kept both templates installed so I could have changed it but now i'm just too lazy to reinstall the fixed template because of adding all of the mods and template edits. I'm still trying to push myself to get that done so hopefully i'll do it soon.
notorious, I'm working on the custom icons and buttons now. hopefully they'll be up soon.
thanks for the input everybody :)

Banner looks very nice, but the style could use some customizing.
Good luck :)
