Quick Edit For Someone Who Knows How!

Hi All

Im looking to edit these so i can use them for forum.old.gif and forum.new.gif but as you can see by this pic they look terrible against a black background

My question is, can someone grab these below and clean them up so they will look good against a dark background. I really don't have a clue about graphics so any help at all is much appreciated
