Member Of The Month: *Revisited*

This request has come up many times and even though it's been available on other systems for years, nobody has bothered to code this very useful (and very cool :D) mod for vBulletin.

I've read through the request posts but sorry guys, some of your requests are probably the biggest reason why this mod was never coded for vBulletin. You're requesting it all wrong.

Mods calculate defined data and output the results. Don't expect them to allow for your specific posts, polls or moderator's input. Besides, why would you want to go to all that trouble picking a UOTM when the mod could do it for you..??

I'm attaching a old IPB mod that does more than everyone has been asking for. (in case anyone wants to look through the code) This mod added both member and topic of the week/month/year selectable from the ACP.

This was a very cool IPB mod and one of my all time favorites. Let's get-r-done!

I really also need this mod soon if it can be done.
Also if it can take data out from what user make the most posts, replies and kinda word count total for fx a month.
In my forum we go for quality and long treats and replies - so a word count would also be great to intigreate and could se what total posts a user have done i xx days after admins choise and request from the system

The user get automatic a new special extra avatar with fx the "member of month" or like it

My theory would be that it works like "Nominate for MOTM" like vB.org has here. Someone clicks in the user's profile or user's post. That would then save that information in the admincp or possibly create a thread after X amount of days.

For my forums, I have to create a thread in the beginning of the month asking for nominations, then on the 15th of the month, I take those nominations and make a poll so members can vote. At the end of the month, whoever has the most votes is the winner.

So for me, something that you can set the date or days for nominations are allowed would be best. However if i had to turn off that option, then thats fine too. And for the poll, either it would automatically create it with a admin's approval or it would put it in a location so the admin/mod can create the thread based off the information.

I am sure others will need other variations but I just stated what I need.
