Hi there,
We are planning to add an SEO plugin to our forum. So it looks like there's vBSEO and Zoints SEO as two popular options. Which would you recommend and why?
I really don't care that one of them costs a bit of money, I am only concerned with functionality / usability aspects.
Thanks,
Tobias

But Zoint Seo Also Good But The Most Is vBSeo Because It Has Alot Of Features And Easy To Install

vBSEO is much neater. No edits, just install the plugin. It's also supported.

vBSEO. All I'm going to say is; vBSEO is supported, Zoints SEO isn't -- and will Zoints work for future version (unless updated)? No!

Don't expect too much though, those who do always fine themselves disappointed.

If you expect it too deliver amazing results, then you will be disappointed.
Certainly vBSEO is not the holy grail of SEO. No one can deliver on a promise on a top 10 ranking for any search term you desire - it's safe to say that you will be disappointed in about 100% of the time if you believe that statement.

VBSeo is neat, and it has some features that zoints lacks but, that's true also for zoints over vbseo: Zoints provides a function to enter metakeywords specific for each forum, and also displays a message for non registered users to encourage them to... well, to register doh! Anyway, when I changed to VBSEO, I added two plugins to support those specific functions.
On the other side, VBSeo allows you to rewrite pretty much everything, no matter with webserver you use. I had a really hard time using zoints on lighttpd, not because it can't be done, but because you rely mostly on other user's help.
Even on zoints forum they are not too eager to help. I believe that they focus mainly in their crossforum implementations (both for zoints local and zoints tags) so they have little spare time to support their SEO plugin.

I notice that :-/ especially with zoint profile

Who cares, Google delivered 2k+ visitors on 500 keywords this month so far for my vBSEO forums.
Never before have i had anything that high coming from google, and especially not out of forums that are less then 4 months old!

Ive had it happen without using SEO. Having solid content that appears on engines and gets linked to your page alot will get you up there.
