Hi, I've recently launched a new online community for Virginia and surrounding area residents, however everyone is welcome. I'm still a bit new to all of this and would really appreciate having everyone check it out, and let me know where I've missed the mark and what I can do to improve it. My intention for the site is to provide a social networking venue, and a resource about Virginia, for residents, or anyone that may be interested in learning more about the State.
I've signed up with ForumFirst.com to help me get my forum started and that is well underway, however I'm concerned about content. How much should I provide myself, and how much should I leave to users to provide? If I get content from other sources on the Internet, I'm concerned about what I can copy and what I can't. I'm not an English major so my "Wordsmithing" ability leaves a lot to be desired.
Any suggestions, comments, etc will be appreciated.
Jim

Might be a good idea to include your link in your post jim6763nva so people like myself can remain lazy without going into members profiles.

Well, you're certainly ambitious! Magnanimous of you to include the areas surrounding Virginia too!
Personally, I've found people on two sides of a county don't have enough in common to want to talk to each other.
What the heck is that ForumFirst.com anyway? It looks like a bunch of bots.

Actually I started a site before that was targeted to just the Northern Virginia area and it didn't go very far, so I decided to expand the area I was looking at. I also found other sites in several other sites in a "Talk" network so to speak. Sites such as TalkOhio.net, TalkArizona.com, TalkDelaware.com, TalkCalifornia.net, TalkKentucky.net and several others.
ForumFirst.com are forum posters that get paid for posting and getting forums going. They are real people, not "Bots".
