Reported posts not working?! Or showing on forum header thing?

Hey,
I remember using a Vbulletin forum a while back and whenever a post was reported, a messsage was displayed globally for moderators, prompting them to take action etc. It had a link to the reported post and details of who posted it.

I'm unable to figure out how to use this system on my forum? My forum just makes a thread in a forum with the details - I don't think this is good as they can easily be missed etc.

Is there a plugin or setting or anything?

Sorry DiageoLiam, but I don't recall every seeing a mod like that. I have seen mods to make threads in the Staff forum, but not one to pop-up a global message.
