Icon for the browsers ?

Hi,

Do you know how can I put an Icon for my forum that appears in the browsers ??, like when you add a site to your favorites the site is in your favorites with an icon(image).

That is what I want to do for my forum.

I installed it but is not showing it in IE.

And the one that have installed here vB, yes appears in IE, are they using the same mod or another one ??

you need to replace your favicon.ico file and then just do a hard refresh of the page CTRL+F5 and see if it updates

Yes I replace it and I did a refresh with F5 and nothing, only it appears in Firefox.

Gotta be a problem with IE, as your image path is correct and i can navigate to it.

I'm not sure what the issue would be then :D

Mmmm yes the strange thing is that I can see with IE the icons of other forums and sites, like vB.

empty your cache and temp files for IE. also, if it is IE6 then you won't see it anyways.

I am sure that is IE7 because it comes with the windows vista in my new lap.

i mentioned it because when i updated the icon for our website at work, it was still showing the old icon on many computers. i ended up having to clear the cache and temp files and it then redownloaded the updated file
