is there any way for vb to store how many times this user has been banned cause i want users that have been banned 5 times temporarily their 6th ban to be permanent.

Have you tried using the vBulletin Infractions System?

yes. there is no setting to ban a user permanently after he has already been banned temporary X times

Do you use the infractions system to infract users? (Just asking because I have an idea that would probably hinder operation if you used it.)
