The site is a community for all football supporters, we hope that our site brings the latest news but is also there to air your views and opinions with other football fans.

I'd go with a darker shade of the blue and a little darker white.

There was a ton of contrast between the dark color, to that bright glowing blue, then to the white and it destroyed my retina's

i would suggest you ask Nike the permission to use their logo on your design, so if they are not happy, you will not be sued because of branding copy... ;)

thanks for the comments so far, will bare all in mind when we look at how to improve, we have great activity on terms of posting, not so much on members considering how many we have, something i really want to change.

The header image is too large and should include an expanding image as well to fill up the sides and allow for adjustment of screen sizes. The standard size for formatting is 1024x768 as it's the most common resolution now. I try to do all of mine to fit that at a minimum.

i see what do you mean about an expanding image?

Take this site for example... take and minmize your window to about 70% screen width, then drag teh window to make it wider and you will see the header image expands to fill the screen rather then having a static image.
