is there a shout box application that will work with 3.5.0. i know i need to up grade and i will in a week or two but was just thing about putting up shout first.

The new name is Inferno vBShout. Just a note though, shoutboxes will put extra load on your server.

I would first upgrade before installing any new modifications. Very likely you will need to install new (versions of) modifications after the upgrade.
