Custom Avatar Question

Is there any way to disable allowing users to upload custom avatars to the board but still allow them to upload them via an external URL? Basically, I want to allow my members to use custom avatars, but I want them to host them on their own image hosting accounts.

I think you can go into admincp and go to avatars and set the custom avatar permissions to NO, then go into usergroups and make sure the can upload avatars feature is enabled.

I havent tried this its just a suggestion.

Limit their option to upload via the Usergroup manager. Edit the group you want to disable and uncheck the ability to upload and leave Linking checked.
