Do you have some suggestions for hosting companies located on the east coast offering dedicated servers with CPanel?

I'm currently with www.dedicatednow.com and had no troubles with them. But I'm not so satisfied with their new offers. They told me that they get new servers with much better specs in one or two weeks but maybe they are expensive.

I'm looking into a server with a kind of (at least) dual CPU(s), two big hard drives, preferable HW RAID 1, 100MBit Port (1000 GB Traffic is far more than enough), 4GB RAM and a decent backup solution with at least 50 GB space.

As I'm also hosting a lot of small websites on the server and I'm using Cpanel I want to have Cpanel on the new server.

I'm from Austria (Europe) and meanwhile European or German hosting provider have really good offers. For instance www.hetzner.de. But they do not support Cpanel, so I would have a lot of extra effort to get Cpanel on their servers.

Additionally I'm sharing the server with a friend who is currently in california, und so a East coast server would be a good compromise.

Thanks!

Thanks. I know webhastingtalk.com. But I thought this forum here is more "compact" to get more interesting response from other vBulletin admins.

www.ReadyToHost.net h, has great routes to Europe. You can goto the site and run a speed test see if the routes are good for you. Both of you run some tests see how it handles for each of you.

Have you looked into HostGator.com? Their shared plans are OK for a smaller board but you definitely need a dedicated for anything over 25 concurrent connections.

powervps.com is on the east coast along with their parent company defender hosting which offers dedicated machines.

I've never used defender hosting, but have used PowerVPS.com and they are the only VPS provider i'll ever use again.
