For your homepage, I thought you had to make the edit manually in the navbar template and add /forums/ to the link.

Looking at the image provided, it shows a link on the toolbar.

How can I get the pictures to show up in the posts?
When I use the pic code inside a post, the picture only shows for users who are logged in. I want the pictures to show for visitors who are not logged in even when I set the album folder to public (not private. What am I doing wrong? How can I do this?

I am getting this same error, but have not used this mod...i used a VB mod and the Last Picture on Forumhome mod....something is getting messed up with these mods and other people may not know becayse they are not deleting pics. Did you find a solution?

I changed this setting for that user group as you described, and they were able to view the all_albums.php page and each of the galleries.

Seems the mod doesnt necessarily follow the permissions conventions for usergroup album permission settings.

I had basically just disabled the link in the navbar, and now only allow for link in member quicklinks pull-down in nav bar.

Now, what I noticed, is also using the mod for showing random album pictures on homepage, ALSO wont show album images for guests, even again, if the permission mask for unregistered usergroups allows for it.

Either these two mods are conflicting and breaking each other to be seen by unregistered members, or I am seriously missing the setting that allows this to work for guests in vbulletin configurations.

Anyone with advice or a direct path that will help me understand the settings that make this work for guests?

I was able to change the name by going into the Phrase Manage and searching for "all albums". I'd still like to see this available in the Control Panel.

As with everything in vb, you have to edit the phase if you want change a change a phrase. No config settings for this.

As for scaling the image, it goes with the vb setting.

In order for this hack to show an album, it passes the album through a vB check to see if vB allows the user to view it order not. I did not set up the check myself so there is nothing i can do.

I havent used vb for but a few weeks, so I fear that I am just missing a setup somewhere. I will keep looking and double check everything, past the obvious usergroup permission masks, and hopefully figure it out.

Ok, figured it out.

Apparently Albums are only visible when member profile pages are set to be visble by unregistered members, regardless of the independant settings for guests being able to view albums in user group permission masks.

Interesting, but thats the way it seems to work for 3.7.2

I fixed the vbadvanced navbar linking problem by editing the "product-abe1_all_albums.xml" file.

Just replace all instances of "<a href="all_albums.php" with "<a href="/forums/all_albums.php".

Then I re-installed the product utilizing the overwrite option.

Im using vbadvanced, and have done as suggested, but still, I only have the link in the navbar, but it still doesn't work, I only get error messages.

Nor do I see any album page when trying to access it directly, www.mysite.com/forum/all_albums.php

What am I doing wrong? :o

Yes, I uploaded it into my forum directory, and I also uploades it into my public_html, where my forum directroy are placed, just to be sure..., but still, I get the link in the navbar, but I cant find the album page at all.

I'm not using a special skin either, I use the default vB style with some modifications, so I really dont get this, I must do something wrong...

I uploaded via FTP "all_albums.php" to the folder where vBulletin is loaded (/phpbb, as I used to use phpbb and wanted to preserve the URL many users no doubt had in their favorites...) and clicked the "install" link in the page where I downloaded the hack, as per the instructions zipped with all_albums.php, but I don't see any change at the site? What am I doing wrong?

I have my file size requirements set fairly high at 2.5 mb, 3072 wide and 2048 high.

When uploading a photo greater than .98 mb, the fie fails with a " Invalid SQL: Insert into picture" error.

Yeah, I'm SO not impressed with what they did with the new version. I'll be sticking with yours man! I'd really like to know if you'd be interested to integrate something with latest comments, or showing comments, or something to do with comments in the albums. I installed someones "Latest Comments" mod, but disabled it because it just seems awkward to have the two separate.

Please carry on supporting this excellent mod! The 3.8 version of vBulletin only has "newly updated" albums visible from the "Community" link on the navbar... no support for viewing all of the users albums!

Hello testered,
This mod has been incorporated into vB3.8x (see Abe1's Please Note above).
To show all of your user's albums you need to make 2 changes:
In AdminCP
1) vBulletin Options -> User Profile: Album Options
under Recent Album Update Days, change that to how many days (the default is 7) you want to be included (I set mine to 999).
2) Maintenance -> Update Counters
run Rebuild Recently Updated Albums.
Voilà!
P.S. Curious, though, if you uninstall All Albums the navbar All Albums is no longer available/ no longer there on the navbar. So, vB3.8x didn't totally incorporate this mod's attributes, functionality.

Not sure what you mean by this. All Albums wasn't incorporated into vB, it's something now built in, but in a different manner. So you have to go through Community - Pictures & Albums to get to it.

If you're looking to have an "All Albums" link that will point to the new albums page, you'll have to add the link in the navbar yourself.

Yes, I agree with you, Savage702. The easy access All Albums navbar entry and even the addition of All Albums in the Quick Links is part of this mod; it is not part of vB38x. vB's version is now tucked in/hidden until you finally realize it's there under the Community button with Social Groups, Contacts & Friends, & Members (which were moved/removed from the Quick Links). This mod still works in vB38x, shows a separate All Albums, and of course has the navbar links we're speaking of. So, in vB38x I still think I will keep this mod active for it's added benefits; this All Albums mod is different from vB's 38x's version and it's a shame it won't be supported anymore.

Hey Abe1, I was hoping to combine this hack (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=185672) with yours, but unfortunately the other hack doesn't work properly when placed on the all_albums.php page (the tables show up, but the cells are all empty) and the author isn't answering support questions. You ever thought of adding something like that to the top of albums page? It would really bring the discussion within the albums into a more visible area and would be good for growth and activity.

Is there any way to show only one album per user (like maybe the last album created)?
It would be nice since vbulletin doesn't have a way to limit the amount of Albums the users can have.

No no, this mod is very good.

I don't want a user at a time. I want to have my users create album with a specific name and when they click on all_albums page to search in the db only for albums called "test" for example.

I fixed the vbadvanced navbar linking problem by editing the "product-abe1_all_albums.xml" file.

Just replace all instances of "<a href="all_albums.php" with "<a href="/forums/all_albums.php".

Then I re-installed the product utilizing the overwrite option.

Thanks for this great Mod! Although vB goes into the same direction with 3.8, they do not go far enough. Abe, some ideas I really would like to see in this mod:

1. A list of the top X album creators. Number should be configureable through the admin interface.

2. A top X list of the best picture uploaders. Again config through admin interface.

3. Another top X list for the most viewed pictures.

4. And finally a list of the top X commented pictures.

5. A box for a random album.

6. Finally a box for a random image.

All this boxes could be on top of everything or at the side. All should be turned on or off through admin area. Finally it would be an idea to

Yep, a "warn user after x days/hours if album is still blank" kinda thing would be great please?
Also when no album cover is chosen at the time of creation.

If still blank after this period, an optional "autodelete of entry" would be helpful too. Saves trudging through the entries and manually deleting each one. :)

There is only one thing. The word Submit of the search form is hard coded. You should use the phrase $vbphrase[submit].

And as some users have requested before, please hide empty albums.

I have deleted users that have had photo albums.

Now they are still showing photos and albums in allalbums but without a username.

Clicking the album so I can delete it just gives the error:-

RG, the arrangement you have at shotcritic is exactly what I need. If you ever figure out how you did it please let me know. Is it setup to be able to set a specific album cover or photo as the main index cover photo?

rolandogomez, look more closely at the usernames listed in the album list on your shotcritic.com site. There are multiple instances of the same username. They just aren't adjacent to each other. You must have the sort filed set to "Last Picture".

Abe, I made a similar fix for my forum.

Could you please change references to album.php with $vboptions[bburl]/album.php so the links work with vBAdvanced and other add-on packages such as PhotoPost Classified Ads.

Do like I did, I copied the images from the original images map to the map misc in my new theme..

For some reason I am unable to get the search working on this.

I know it works on others' sites, but not mine, not even in a default style.

The box shows up but searching for anything just reloads the same page.

Hello;

I am not sure if this is the proper location to post? As I also put it in a Vbulletin.org forum location. Sorry my mistake for a double post.

I installed this hack on my vbulletin navbar. It works with forum.php and vbadvanced cmps portal pages selected. But when I went to vba dynamics program, all_albums.php would not load up? (I assume it is a "page", but technically it is not actually a cmps page. It is the program opening location.) It wants to act like the file "any forum file" should be inside the dynamics directory. Of course it is not.

The all_albums.php is installed in forum root and located on original forum navbar.

So it sends me to a blank browser page when I have opened up the links or dynamics program and then click on the navbar location.. I have 3.8 and cmps 3.1 and most recent dynamics also. I suspect that the reason that I am not getting various php files to load up is because the dynamics or links main page is not wrapped with a cmps page. But since I am new to this, that is my guess?

A little help would be terrific. I have asked the same question at vBAdvanced.com as well.

I have put the all_albums.php inside of the cmps globals variables and also listed it in header, footer and navbar replacement sections of cmps. If I have done this, then should the file load up correctly when I try to redirect from the dynamics program location via the navbar.

(UPDATE: I am guessing that since I have not actually made a cmps "page" for a dynamics instance that all I am seeing is the dynamics program since no relationship has been assigned with cmps. And as a result it will not know to look for all_albums in the correct location. Am I right about this?)

I am perplexed. Is there an All_albums file for CMPS?

UPDATE: Not an ALL_albums problem: Actually I am having this problem from within a dynamics main page going to any forum.php file other than the forum and cmps portal page.

But would still like to know is there a need for a cmps type file for all_albums?

How? Where?

My albums are in the file system and not in the database. Is there anything I'd have to do differently as in placement of the php file?

One more small suggestion. It would be great to limit the characters in the album's description and then add a "More" link if the text has more than X number of charcters.

I only realized this was a problem when somebody created an album with a seven paragraph description and it made the "All Albums" page fomatting look bad because this one album stretched so much vertically.

I'm no longer saying it's a problem with the All Albums mod. You are correct. But I haven't deleted any thumbnails either. I just created a test album, uploaded some photos, and all that displayed were the titles for the photos. No thumbnails. Clicking on the titles of the photos displayed the photos. So it seems the thumbnails aren't being created to begin with, or the Albums function is no longer displaying them for newly uploaded photos. I need to find out why.

Great Mod - have had it installed for quite some time know..

From time to time a user is experiencing, the "upload pics" link in the right hand side above and below the frame disappears totally.? The user has the same settings as the other users who aren't experiencing any issues. It might be a local problem, but not sure..

yes of course, - re-downloaded and re-installed - its now working...

just a suggestion - should we include the MD5 sum for all files that way we can verify the downloads havn't been corrupted.
