Still interest in a Colored Username mod?

I know there was a lot of interest in the past and old modifications didn't work at all in 3.6.*.

I have one running that works great in 3.6.7. I am sure it would work in 3.6.8 as well as any other 3.6.

It's not a plugin, but it's fairly simple to do. If there is interest I'll put it up.

Sounds like a nice mod, couple of questions though:

1) Is this an user driven option? For example, can a user via their usercp select the colour that their username is displayed in?

2) Can certain colours be restricted, for example I currently display Admins and Mod in Red. It would be good if this colour was not an option to normal users

3) Does it support other text styles (like bold, italic etc)

1. It is a user driven option. It uses profile fields. The fields show up for everyone but it uses usergroups to determine if the colors are used. So if you wanted only a specific group to have colors(mods, subscribers) it pulls the needed info. If they do not have permission than they will still show up in default colors.

2. I am not sure how that could be done. I used to do the same thing but I solved it by giving my admins/mods a rank image. But this mod does not have any color restrictions built in.

3. Yes, it can support a text decoration customization as well.
