Hi guys,
I am seriously planning and thinking in buy the VBSEO software but before I want to know what do you think about this Mod-Hack (Software) ? is this really helps to put in better place my site in google ?, I really need that.
My forum have 3 years on line and I can?t put it in the first pages of google, so really I am desperate.
www.all-reefs.com
Also are ther other benefits to have it installed ? the cons of have it ? is the configuration difficult ?, I read the other time that if I install VbSEO in my forum after that will be very difficult to install any other mod and can be problematic with my Data Base, is that true ?
Is the software worth that price(cost) to buy it ? if I install it and for anything I have a problem with it, can I uninstall it ?
Thank you very much and all the comments will help me a lot to take the best decision.
Mario

This has been debated many times in the past here and some say yes, and some, like myself, say no. It's a personal choice.

Hi again my friend Boofo,
Yes the problem that I see is I think VBSEO change a lot of things in my forum like the URL addresses, that is a big contra for me, but I am not sure if this help a lot to put my site in the first places in Google, if yes I will buy it with my eyes closed, but I think that is not for sure.
So you don´t have it, right ?
Thank you again!

I don't use paid hacks. PhotoPost was an exception. There are some that will tell you VBSEO works and some that will tell you you are wating yout time with it. Like I said, it is a personal decision. I believe there are other ways to bring in traffic without having to install things that will end up being a headache in the long run. But that is just my opinion. ;)

Yes I know that maybe are different ways to bring traffic, like I told you I am a little desperate to put my site in the first places in google because I love so much my forum, but you are right this mods could be a problem for the future.

SEO alone cannot bring your site onto the "first place" on Google. Content is what does. Even if it does get up there, if there's no content, no one's going to come back.

What do you mean about "content" ?? content are the posts and the threads ? or what else?
Sorry for my stupid question.

Content = articles, threads, posts, etc.

Mmm ok, I have a lot of good content in my forum that is the real strange thing that I can´t put my forum in a good position in Google, because sometime appears in the 3th or 4th page and then I can´t find my site with the same words that I used to do the search and find it.

I found it a bit of a killer on my server's resources tbh - currently looking at the reasons why...a lot of queries get run in the "out the box" install and quadrupled my server load...
Nulled some of them - but there are parts of it, like the analytics (google) that killed the board last night.
Get vbseo sitemap (free from here I think) and upload it to Google as a first step.

Dunno tbh - I only started experiencing problems after installing it. Massive spikes on server load - which were quickly sorted by their tech support - you can tailor pretty much everything from the back end after install...
What I will say - is Vbseo tech are quick and efficient, I just need to find out why my server keeled over last night ( always sticking on Google Analytics when page loading etc)...
Then again, to be fair, it may have been something totally not related to the product :D

sitemaps do not help inclusion or search engine results contrary to popular belief.
Build content, then get backlinks from relevant sites and there are a ton of ways to improve your SEO without vbSEO if you do not believe it will help.
I've got it installed and may never launch another forum without it. I've witnessed the power it has to offer with a little bit of help, and know how, you should see improvements in search engine traffic.

Thanks guys, vBulletin 4.0 is actually vBulletin 3.7b5, i just put 4.0 there to mess around and for humor :)
You can see the progress of indexing stats and traffic in my review thread if interested here (http://www.vbseo.com/f84/1-month-report-20732/).
The hack in the header is the infobar modification.
Good luck
