Log in not working

My friend was trying to log in so he logged in and it said thankyou for logging in but he wasnt logged in it keeps doin it for him....how to fix?

Does he have the remember me box ticked?

Are you logging in fine? Try logging out and back in to see if it happens to you.

The exact same thing kept on happening to me when I last installed vBulletin...

Are you talking about general login or AdminCP login?
