What Donation System LITE Is:
Donation System LITE is an addon for the Payment System. It fully integrates with the Payment System to allow for donation payments. Donation System LITE will allow site Admins full control over their donations, with the ability to track monthly or yearly goals and perform multiple searches from your admincp.

Required Programs

Easy to Transfer Payments From:
Cyb - PayPal Donate (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=122997)
PayPal Donations For vBulletin 3.5.0 (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=91567&highlight=paypal)
It is automatic when you run the install of the Payment System to transfer the payments to the new system still leaving the other modifications alone. This software in no way interferes in the other mods above so you can keep them installed and active while testing and merging over.

Also it DOES work with sub domains and so on.

That is the reason I created this system. I needed something so much more advanced and informative.

Thanks I have read and installed payment system. When trying to save main donation settings I get this error:

Did you uninstall donation system before loading payment system? Must install payment system and all files first. Without donation system installed. Then install donation system. You can NOT have donation system present then load payment system then reupload XML and click overide for the donation system. Has to be a fresh install of donation system. You don't have to worry about this once payment system core is loaded on site. Once that is there you can install uninstall all you want any Add-On that we provide.

The error you are getting is stating that the donation settings did not get inserted which means that the program was already present.

This look familiar ?? :) It is your error you tried to override donation system after you installed payment system. You must install payment system first then install donation system :) All in the instructions and on the thread post. It is all good. Putting a stop to this with some code right now.

Re-download the zip and replace donationsystem.php I fixed that issue earlier today. That goes for everyone who downloaded within first hour or so.

Fixed please re-run the XML and click update bubble as well as override the donationsystem.php file in forum root/

Already done and integrated with VBcredits, YAAS, and welcome panel and many other things. This is a PRO only feature and will be released in next version of PRO. I have had it on my site for over 4 months no issues but like to test a lot before doing public releases.

I have an issue. I have it setup so it does not open a new window. Now lets say the person gets to the paypal page and decides they don't want to donate and login and changes their mind. The link to return to my website appears as the email address for the paypal account and not for the website. Now here is a better kicker. If you click it instead of going back to my website it gives you this page:

I WOULD IN NO WAY EVER kick anyone to that page. That means someone has accessed a file or tried to access a root of a folder within my system. SO please send me your URL and I can take a look at what is going on. DO you have your site as domain/forum/ or domain/ Let me know. IF YOU PREVIOUSLY CHANGED PAYPAL SETTINGS FOR their payment processing system they have for redirects and cancel redirects etc THIS WILL EFFECT MY SYSTEM and is probably what is going on. Will take me 5 seconds to tell you what is going on.

AHAH that is for security YOU MUST have a html access denied file in all folders within software. Look at VBulletin it has them too. Or else someone can do this www.yourdomain.com/folder/ AND gain access to ALL files within that directory. It is programing 101.

Now if you give me your URL and more info I can help SOLVE why it is going to that page in first place. YOU nor a user should EVER see that page unless they do what I stated above to access a directory directly.

It isn't going to that page. Read what I wrote my friend. (My url is in my sig file as well) It is when you click the link which is as I posted above it kicks you back to it. I know you need an index.html in each directory for security or other security measures which I have access to. I was only telling you what was on the index pages in each one.

Now back to why the url is my email address for paypal and why it is going back to the deadfile/security index.html?

Yeah I am going to release update in a second that may fix your issue as well but if not you need to go to your paypal account and I will help you at that point. It should not have your Email address to click at bottom but your URL so this shows me you have messed with settings in paypal account.

Cause your site is directing to forum/paymentsystem/ which is not right it should be forum/
So it is either a setup you have in paypal that is overriding my system which it most likely is OR the fix I am releasing will override your paypal settings and be all gravy.

You did install wrong. Please upgrade to latest editions of BOTH donation system and payment system. Make sure to run XML as upgrade on BOTH and override ALL files and delete community/paymentsystem/payment.php

The JavaScript file is missing from download. The installGuide.html is referring to a js file :

Yes two ways you can do it.

#1 go to donationsystem_bar template and delete out:
$donation_bar_style
or

#2 go to Donation System Plugin Navbar/Bar and delete out:

This is a great product and i can recommend it to anyone that needs a good donation system.

I have one problem though. When i installed the mod it automatically put a link in my navbar with a drop down menu, i like the feature but it doesnt fit in with my other links. How can i change this? All my navbar settings are stored in the header template but there is no reference to this link. If i could just find the code for it then i should be ok.

This is a great product and i can recommend it to anyone that needs a good donation system.

It uses 3 hook methods for navbar and header that work with 80% of the styles out there. So for the ones that it doesn't work I highly recommend just changing one of the hooks to meet your style and you are golden.

I LOVE this! I bought the pro version yesterday. Alot of options compared to my old donation systems. Helps keep me organized as to who did what with alot less manual labor.

First off do your other selections use the arrow? You can turn off the arrow all together by doing this:

vbmenu_register("navbar_donation", true)

Set it to ",true" and it will remove the arrow. I presume your style does not use the drop down icons. If it does I will chime back in so check and test what I showed. I will need more info from you and your style if this is not what you want.

I don't see any drop down menu's to compare to on any of those styles so not sure what your referring too. Also you may have to tweak the HOOKS or ADD HOOKS to supply all styles with correct format.

Again there are 0 drop down menus on any of your styles BUT the drop down that mine creates. Now I see the colors are off a little bit for those two style but it is getting the info for the drop down from the style itself so that is how that style formats drop downs. Please show me another drop down menu on ANY of your themes and I can better help. The hooks can be edited or add your own hook inside the plugin itself. It can not match every style out there but it does work on 80% of them. So for those others it does not work have to create own custom hook. But to me the hooks are fine on your site and working perfect. SO unless you show me another drop down menu that is different then the one created on the same style then I can't compare.

Only issue I see is the border is BLACK. Which can be removed by changing the hook. Most styles use it and it just so happens that those two styles doe not so it displays the border. The colors and everything else are PERFECT. Checked in all browsers and OS systems. So all you have to do is edit a hook for those styles or manually add a hook for them. Or jesus delete some styles you have 20 ahah do people actually use all of those and why have so many options. AHAH. Sorry just giving you crap. Let me know if that is what you are talking about cause I see NO other discrepancy.

After trying the Lite version I purchased Pro version.

I have say that the "Donation Usergroup/Membership Change" function is a great idea and just what I needed :)

This is what I can now do

For a donation my users get VIP status for 12 month
Upon completion of a donation the user is added to the VIP group and their Display Usergroup is updated to show they are a VIP.
After 6 months the user gets an email saying they havent donated for a while, why not donate again. **PRO VERSION
The mod checks how long ago their last donation was, if its more than 12 months ago it puts them back in the original group and changes their Display Usergroup **PRO VERSION

You can of course change the duration etc ........

I can now let the Donation mode do all the hard work for me :D

The Pro system is even better. You should check it out. He's even got a module for CMPS out right now that will automatically update as the donation system receives money!

I really recommend this mod to everyone. You'll find that it is effective, stylish, and heavily supported. I've made 3 requests so far, and all 3 requests have been added to updates that have come out!

It's like the saying goes. You gotta spend money to make money. In this case it's pocket change your getting rid of.

I have a small problem.

When I go to add a donation manualy, I enter in the userid and the donation amount and the date is correct but when I click "save setting" I get the following:

It is telling you the error. You have entered a DATE that is BEFORE the user joined the site or PAST todays date and time.

Have to select from there joindate to todays date and time.

I don't think LITE auto's to todays date and time. I think it defaults to some date and time is always 12pm. I will ADD the PRO feature to the LITE so it auto sets date and time. This may be your problem. Doing a payment for same day and it is before 12pm. Also phrase is in PRO forgot to add to LITE.

V2 is being released today as RC for PRO purchasers. So expect update for LITE sometime next week.

There is no way to set exact time, and the date selected was 3/27/08 the same date I was doing the manual donation, I was doing it to my account so it was after my join date....

The error it is showing is an incorrect error as the date was correct.

As I stated it was a TIME issue not a date issue. This is all fixed in PRO edition 2 versions ago and I haven't updated LITE yet. Been working on V2 of this software which RC release is being released tomorrow. So LITE will get an update with some fixes and maybe some new PRO features we shall see. Will be sometime early next week.

As I stated in last post the time was NOT set so it defaults to 12pm your server time. So if you try to manually add a donation before 12pm your server time it will throw that error. It is just to prevent you from making that mistake which will mess up the userstats. That is all that warning is telling you. Watch try it again now and it will work. Just remember the TIME issue. So put yesterday's date for now and update it day later or however you want to deal with it or wait till after 12pm your server time to add. AGAIN THIS IS ALL FIXED A long time ago in PRO edition and will be fixed in next LITE release.

have just installed this as well as the payment system and having a slight problem witht the fact the donation bar wont move up automatically and all payments remain unconfirmed.

am i doing something wrong somewhere, as the standard subscriptions etc have always worked ok and completed upon payment.

You are thinking of IPN auto payment confirm, send notifications, update everything. That is a PRO feature not a LITE feature.

You obviously did NOT follow directions and even when you installed this mod and it warned you to install payment system you still didn't. So please download payment system and load it FIRST then donation system.

I am releasing a new V2 of this software which will be 100x easier and no need for the separation of payment system and donation system add-on anymore. I was trying to make things easier in LONG run but doesn't seem to have worked out that way in short term. So a lot has changed. PRO V2 is being released on Monday so expect lite sometime at end of week.

AUTO confirm IPN verification is PRO feature only. BUT I have a NON IPN system for LITE. But ONLY works if the person clicks the redirect BACK to your site and ONLY then will it auto confirm the payment etc. So I highly recommend NOT opening a new window for payment processing which is an option in MAIN settings in payment system. That way it kinda forces your users to click to come back. Now if they DON'T that is when you have to manually confirm.

AGAIN this is ONLY LITE not PRO. In PRO edition everything is auto you do nothing and money comes in :)

Everything is activated (switched to "on" status) and installed properly (as product).

You really have to be a LOT LOT more specific then that. What version of VB you running. What version of my software are you running. When does this error occur. As detailed as you can get. And no software should EVER cause an error when viewing products in admincp unless it is issue with VB itself. That is VB core code to grab all products. If there is an issue it would tell you at install process.
