I know some forums which are using VB nulled, but I don't know that in future can they update to be VB licensed (if they buy VB licensed from vbulletin.org)?

You need to purchase a license from vbulletin.com Then yes you can update their vBulletin to be licensed.

nulled == nullified of any legal code... illegal pirated version.

Lang - they can, but it has more potential for problems do to the altered code.
nulled version = nice possible backdoor installed, so the hacker can screw your site when he feels like.
I saw that with my own eyes, very ingeniously hidden. So if you are not an experienced coder to verify everything, you are basically screwed. Is easy to hide a backdoor, vBulletin has over 100,000 lines of code... only in standard functions. Spread your backdoor into 20-30 locations and it is practically undetectable.
Happily, many people know about the vBulletin potential and they decide to purchase a license, without knowing how upset they might make certain hackers because they lost potential "toys" to play with...

undetectable until you use BBEdit to compare ALL files with an official version.. :)

You would need to have access to an official version to do that, doubt most users of nulled copies will have that, or they wouldn't need the pirate versions. ;)

to answer the topic starters question: yes, if you have a nulled board you can buy a vb license. as long as your board URL is on their file as being licensed, you don't need to touch any of your nulled files until you want to upgrade to a newer version.. although it is reccomended.

of course, a $99 copy of the ionCube encoder would put an end to all that!

They can, but you will need to replace all files on your server with the new ones, so if you have a modified file maybe like sendmessage.php to allow admins to send members emails, then you will need to re-add the code.

actually i think that this topic have no place here... the guy have to ask this at the official support forum to have an official followup if he really have a nulled forum.

I am not trying to be a jerk... but could you please provide a link (perhaps via PM) to a location where I can buy this discounted version of ioncube? It still displays $199 on their main site, and even when buying multiple licenses the cost is greater than $100.
And to keep with the topic: Piracy is wrong, but the purchase of a valid license and a quick trip to your local confessional shall purify both your board and soul. ;)
