Txt Message Alerts

I think I brought this up before somewhere.

The idea is to get txt message alerts.

The messages would have to be < 160 characters at a time, or a simplified version of the existing e-mail alerts.

The additional fields would take a users phone number and service provider (different service providers use different phone e-mail addresses that can receive mms like messages to them)

Anyone have any ideas on this? Can't believe no one has made something similar to this yet. I wouldn't think it would be that difficult to accomplish. You'd basically be adding an option to subscriptions that says:

"Instant Notification by Txt Message"

Which would then just send a separate email template to phonenumber@provider.com
