When I set the options "Depth of Forums - Forum Home" "Depth of Forums - Forum Display" "Depth of Sub-Forums" to 2 2 3 I get a list of my forums like this:

Base Forum (Category, no posting)
-Subforum 1 (Category, with several subs)
--Sub-Forums: Sub1, Sub2, Sub3, Sub4
-Subforum 2 (Category, but no subs of this one)

That is what I expect to get in that case. If I set the values of the options to 3 3 4, however, where I would expect to get

Base Forum (Category, no posting)
-Subforum 1 (Category, with several subs)
--Sub1
--Sub2
--Sub3
--Sub4
-Subforum 2 (Category, but no subs of this one)

I instead get no subforums displayed at all except for the category I'm looking at.

Base Forum (Category, no posting)
-Subforum 1 (Category, with several subs)
-Subforum 2 (Category, but no subs of this one)

I get the same no-subs-displayed with any value higher than 2 on the "Depth of Forums - Forum Home", no matter what I put in the other options. What am I doing wrong!?

I think I saw this all explained over at vbulletin.com It has to do with only having forumdisplay_level1 and forumdisplay_level2 templates (not sure if it was forumdisplay or forumhome or something else) and what you are asking for is forumdisplay_level3 which doesn't exist and so it reverts to level1. You need to make a level3 template. You should go search over on vb.com for this subject.

Have you tried upping the numbers in the other 2 level settings?

Thanks, the level3 templates fixed it. They really should have them included in the FAQ... maybe they'll include them by default in 3.7...

Any links to directions on how to increase the indentation for level3?

That is something we tried to get in vb a long time ago and it has never happend. I doubt it's a priority for them now. ;)
