I've been trying to figure this out for awhile, cannot figure out what settings I have wrong. IT seems like the forum is being picky when it will and will not display images..Seems if people use the manage attachments and do not use the ATTACH tags it's okay, but if they try to do the attach tags to show the pics they won't show up, just as links.. see this pic to see what I mean:

Any idea why this is? I want the image to show up!

It seems the path is wrong for the avatars in the second picture. Check the source code and see where it thinks the images are and then look and see if they are there. Have you tried repairing/optimizing the attachment or avatar table? Are you attachments/avatars in the database or the filesystem?

Well, that's up to you where to put them. There are pluses and minuses to having them in the database vs filesystem. You may want to repair/optimize your attachment table and see if that fixes the problem. Don't forget to backup your database prior to doing this.

I did that and it didn't seem to fix the problem.. if I move the attachments will it change anything?

I doubt it. If there is something wrong with it now, then there will be something wrong with it after the move.

Did you take a look at the source code and see what path they had for the attachment and then see if it is in the database? When did this issue first start?
