Update Of COunters [Archive]

Hi guys, i am very new to VB and i was wondering when do i need to update counters?

I am in the midst of upgrading vB 3.5.4 to 3.6.4. I was wondering if updating of counters is needed. I have currently 40,000 ++ users, 1.6mil posts & 83k posts.

Please advice. Thanks in advance

Don't recall the specifics of vB 3.5.4 to vB 3.6.4, but IIRC a message will appear as needed when upgrading, telling you what needs to be updated if anything.

There is no reason to run any of those on a regular basis.

when would i be needing to run the update counters script?

only if you feel your numbers are wrong. Maybe sometimes if you import a database or something

You only need to run them if you are instructed to do so.
