Hi there,

I've been working on my guilds new website. I'd like some thoughts on the over all skin, and if there are any small things I could do to make the over all look a bit neater than it is currently. The box graphics won't change, the header graphic is likely to be replaced with a resizing thingy.

I really need some tips on the forum css, basically. Is there anything you would do to smarten it up slightly? A shade change?

I am aware that some graphics are aliased for lighter backgrounds, those are being replaced. I'm looking for simple template/css tips that will tidy the look up.

Thank you

(So, content, graphics & features don't really need a comment, more readability/colours/ giving what we have a slicker slant. Over all that colour theme is remaining for now.)

Looks good imho.
clear letters, original buttons and for a clan/guild a portal is a very good edition to a forum.

Thanks, although the buttons are from various sets released on this very site, so I can't take credit for them >>

Any pointers from anyone about tidying up the table displays?

Well I have to say this is the best WoW site I've seen, actually better than my own guild site. I did notice that when the site loads, the portal has the right size but then it resizes causing a bottom scroll bar to appear. I would probably say edit the main portal template and give the center column a set percentage width.

BTW, seeing your style has inspired me to try my hand at my own guild style. Thanks for the inspiration, I'm gonna try to do a red/white style, gonna try to find some type of images in the game to use as the border.

Honestly, I can't see a thing to change css wise, it looks great, although I would change the visited link color from that orange to maybe white or something.

Cheers and again great job on the style

You might want to apply this customization: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=156777

It would make sure that all the columns in your forum lists are the same width for consistency.

Also your vBAdvanced pages are inconsistent. Some lose the navigation and some have three columns which makes the site overall look unfinished.

Yeah, I have to finish working on the tabs >>

Only the big button tabs are the 'consistent' navigation, but I'm still re-arranging the portal page layouts.

And...uh, something is wrong - I've already applied that customisation to the forum column widths. Mebbe something is throwing them out, I'll take a peek. o.O

The main portal is supposed to be fluid at 90% width, with two fixed width columns., the only thing that might force a scroll bar is the header graphic, perhaps? Can I ask what resolution you're using Steve?

Thanks for the tips, and the compliments, much appreciated :)

Ah, about the header graphic - it's going to be replaced with a dynamically resizing header to match the portal/forum width.

Ah, i think I got it figured, the thumbnails from the gallery, there are too many of them. reducing the number to 4

I'm using 1024x768

Just checked your site again, the scrollbar is alot smaller now, I noticed the header is the problem, glad to know your gonna get a dynamically resizing one.

I will say this, you are gonna inspire a few other peeps I bet, that is such a slick style.

Cheers
