anyone know?

had a great day yesterday trying to install xcache only to find php 5.0.x is incompatible!

Yes, you can edit your eaccelerator.ini file and exclude the script...something like this. This will exclude the kses.php file (very useful for Wordpress as it crashes with eAccelerator". First line is just a comment line.

; Exclusions to eaccelerator
eaccelerator.filter="!*kses.php"
