getting users online from non-vbpages

Is there any way to get the guests/users online on non-vBulletin pages.

I'd like the amount of guests viewing my articles, show up online in the forums as well.

I realize this isn't written like a panicked 12yr old school girl so its probably going to go unanswered, but its worth a shot

You need to replicate the way vBulletin fetches online users. This can be found near the end of index.php.
