I need the "Welcome our newest member" section to not display anyone in the "Users Awaiting Email Confirmation" usergroup. Anyone know where or how i can do this? Thanks in advance to anyone with any input.

In the Admin CP -


Select Forums & Moderators -> Forum Permissions.
Under the "Welcome our newest member" forum, click Edit to the left of (COPPA) Users Awaiting Moderation
Set permissions to what you want, then click Save.

All done :)

i think you misunderstood me, or i did not explain it clear enough.....at the bottom of the forums index, it says welcome our newest member X. it is not a forum, it is just a section at the bottom. i want to change it so it will not display anyone who is awaiting confirmation email. thanksfor the reply, it just need a little more. thanks!

Oh, I see.

OK, now if you just want to hide the "Welcome to our newest member, xxxx", then that will just be a template conditional, but if you do not want the new username to actually show until completely registered (ie in the "Registered Users" group) then that probably requires code changes to core vBulletin files, or a hack written for it, as the new username shows straight away when the username when the new user signs up using the forum registration form.

yeah, thats what i figured...any idea where in the code i should look, or if there are any hacks already written for this type of thing?
