once the arcade has been installed does it need to be left 777 or is it best to change this (which i have)

you need 0777 for installing new games, pure playing should work fine otherwise

It shouldn't hurt leaving it that way, anyway. If someone gets past the server and can get that far, they can do alot more damage elsewhere.
