hi
i want to upgrade from 3.6.7 to 3.7beta4
I've done some changes in my forum folders
like :
I've changed admincp and modcp folders to other names
and i changed config.php name to other name and I've enqripted it with ZEND system
and im putting a firewall on those folders
my question is : do i have to modify every thing to normal before i make the upgrade? ??
another question
when will the official 3.7 version will be out??
(sorry for my bad English)

When you upgrade, you will be replacing all your php pages with new php pages. You may leave your admin cp and mod cp names the same that you have them now, it won't effect upgrading. I don't know about your config.php file since I don't have mine encrypted, but I would imagine that as long as it is readable by vbulletin, then it's fine as it is.
The official 3.7 will be out when it's ready. That is all we know. From what they have said on vb.com, there is a beta 5 coming next and then I would guess we will get one or two release candidates and then the gold.

Before uploading the new vBulletin, rename the admincp and modcp folders to match what they currently are on your live server.
I don't think much of anything has changed in the config.php file, you shouldn't have to do anything.
I'm not sure how you're putting the firewall on folders, but again chances are good as long as you rename the modcp/admincp folders, you won't have to change anything.
3.7 Will be out when 3.7 is ready like Lynne said. Its the same everyone else will tell you as well.

I am pretty sure he does not need to rename the admin cp and mod cp. I have always had a different name for mine and I have never renamed them for the upgrade. Don't forget that their 'location' is defined in the config.php file, so I would guess that as long as it is correct in there, then vbulletin can find them.

I think he meant when it comes to uploading the updated files when you upgrade. They both have to have the same names so files get overwritten correctly if they need to be overwritten. ;)
