Customized vB forum with many hacks.
3000 members and growing by 10+ per day
40-50 online at most times durring the day
250 max to date
2 MySQL DB's (275 MB and 80 MB)
350,000 posts, 100,000 threads
Using OpenAds for banner advertising
Would like to add a shopping cart function
I've previously used Onsmart.net (bad support, complained about email and server load issues), Nixism.com (reseller who was great until his spaces was oversold), and I've spent the last week trying to get setup on GoDaddy.com but I just requested a refund.
I would really like a VPS, but I can't afford it yet. I'd really like to go with a top level shared host for another year or so until I can move to a VPS.
Recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Whats your projected growth? Maybe a VDS or Dedicated might come in mind depending on volume.
Get a VPS from www.FDCServers.com - If you can afford a shared hosting account, you can afford a VPS from them.
I still use them today, as reference.

And you want the world to know that you are happy with your host (whoever that is) by posting the text "Test this" linked to a blank banner page on your own website. How is this related to your hosting in any way?
Please stop making such posts, any further like this will not be accepted.

I would say www.crissic.com -- best support thus far!

xilo.net
Take a look at Servage.Net, I am currently using them and I have only had 1 minor problem whilst being with them.

These specs will get you in trouble on practically any shared host that I know of. The 40-50 online is not a problem on a good host but the 250 max will probably get you suspended. There are some quality shared hosts that will let you hit 250 max users on occasion but they do come at a price. I'm not sure what VPS pricing you have gotten but quality shared hosting rivals VPS price.
