I've nvr used zoints myself and im not sure what it uses to rewrite url's, most likely a htaccess file, but once you uninstall it, the urls will correct themselves on the site, but the urls already seo on google etc, will cease to function.
There is also vbseo, which is located at vbseo.com

SEO in all the systems known for vBulletin are "post-processors", that means it is not activated before the save of documents, but on output... so the content is never edited in the database... so if you deactivate it, the urls are back to normal.
Zoints SEO is the only one which is free because it is not supported... vbSEO and Dean's version are commercial, so you can ask them for support.
all these systems are the mod-rewrite you need...

like this is what i mean if on seo my link is forum.com/need-your-help-guys-gals-227.html
and i get rid of seo and that link above is on google how would i get it to go back to
forum.com/showthread.php?t=227 [redirect]
Thats the only thing stoping me from using zoints and eventually buying vbSeo
any which is dean's version i only thought there was zoints or vbseo...

it is impossible to do what you ask for... that's why vbSEO is something you have to evaluate before starting things, because if you start indexation of your site on google, it will take as much time for google to re-index your site from zero if you deactivate seo...
actually, it is not recommended by Google to use a SEO system on a forum...
