Last 15 Searches for vB3.7
Version 1.0.1
(By Boofo and MarcoH64)

What does this product do?
This product will display the last 15 searches made by your members on your main site search page at the top. The search words are then linked to those search results. It uses your censor options to make sure nothing bad shows up. The searchee will also be visible, but only to Admins. The search box will only show up when searches have been made. Searches made in your private forums are not shown to members who do not have access to those forums. It is now fully permissions based.

Version Information:
Version 1.0.1 --Initial release for vBulletin 3.7.0 beta 4

Credits:
A big thank you goes out to EvilSL1 for co-authoring the vB3.0 version, on which this hack has been converted. And also to MarcoH64, for re-writing the code and keeping me in line while converting this to vB3.5. This also works on vB3.7.0 beta 4.

seems it works for 3.6.8 but u should replace 15 with X so admins can choose how many to show

Well, this is an old throwback from the Chen days. He originally did this mod for the org. His limit was set to 10. Since the results aren't in there very long (they are reset hourly), I figured 15 was a good round number. ;)

Also, this is the same exact code used for the 3.5.4 version so it should work from that version on up. ;)

I have to admit this is one of my favorites. I've been using it a long time and it only got better with the rewrite, thanks to Marco. ;)

Installed, working nice on 3.6.8 level 2.

It will great than you can do to show 10 at the bottom of the forumhome, where the users online, the stadistics and teh events are (at tje bottom of all that).

I'm sure you could use a query to get the info for the forumhome but then you would have to get the permissions of the searches for those who can view what searches were made and it would get kind of complicated, I think. And since the searches get deleted every hour, unless you have a real busy site doing a lot of searches, it wouldn't pay to have it on the forumhome.

Where are the searches listed? I can't find them.

At the top of the search page.

And hello rinkrat, it's been a while. ;)

Could you add an option for "Most Searched" Keywords?

Thanks!

Works great for my 3.6.8 forum! :)

Can you pull this information to place into the "Top 5 Stats" hack?

Looks good Boofo. Is there an easy way to make this visible only to admins?

The only way would be to do a conditional in the str_replace in the xml.

Cheers Boofo

Is there a way to get this to show on quick searches, it looks
like it only shows on the advanced search page at present?
