Profile Rating !!I developed this mini-mod having in mind to deliver a better interface, more info and more configurable Memberlist replacement. Of course you can use it as standalone, or change the link to your navbar to redirect to my page.



1.- What I've in mind to improve next days
To change the info given in blocks for most active with number of posts and other statistics
To change the profile in listing by adding more info (eg biography etc). All of them can be turn On/Off by admin. Also to place in profile a popup with related options (eg Email, PM, Add to Buddy etc).
To add Advanced search, but much more powerfull than vB's. This is the reason that I left empty the left side bar.
To add in profiles other useful information pulling them from popular mods (eg vbCredits).2.- Installation


Installation is pretty easy:
Upload all files and directories including at "vbulletin" directory to the directory where vBulletin is installed.
Check at your AdminCP->vBulletin Options->Plugin/Hook System that Plugin system is enabled.
From your AdminCP->Plugin System->Manage Products choose Add/Import Product and import the product: product_memberindex.xml
Set the various options at: Member Index Options. If you can't see the menu on the left, press F5. Don't forget to choose which usergroups to show.
If you want to replace your current member list, you must edit the navbar template to point to memberindex.php instead of memberlist.php Otherwise you can add a seperate menu.3.- For your info

This is not a Lite version, as I'm not planing to release a Commercial one. But you can find in our site, a Brand Free version for $15, a very fair amount as I believe. I don't like donations, so this is a great way if you want to support my work and to get something back in exchange.

Yes, you can choose which usergroups to show in MemberIndex. As "Team" most probably you mean the block with admins in main page? In current version only Admins are showing there. But as I did this mod just today, I left many things out for the upcoming few days. Sure you can choose usergroups for there too.

Most probably you're doing something wrong. Open the file memberindex_admin.php and you'll see that there is do=usergroups

For anyone else who, like me, did not want to display usergroups on the left and meet the admins on the right...here's how to get rid of those:

To get rid of the usergroups block on the left, delete this code in memberindex_index template:

In any case, as I don't like donations, there is a Brand Free version in our site for $15. I believe that it's a very fair price. But it's better to wait till the final release later today.

I left it for the end... it's pretty easy to do it as I've already another mod for forum home. An altrarnative way, is to mark yourselve (or anyone you want) as Featured member and show them (in random) in a special block (should be on tomorrow's release). Also members marked as featured, will have different background color in listings to catch the eyes.

Marina, I whole heartedly agree that you deserve credit. And credit is left on the one forum I installed this on.

However, I have a brand free VB license that I keep link free and have spent alot of money for many brand free licenses (all photopost products, VB itself, several mods, and several other products). I was considering installing this mod on it...but to have links back to anything with VB defeats the purpose of having brand free licenses I've already purchased. If it were a site about VB or not a professional business site, I would not mind the credit. But, one out of four forums I have requires brand free all the way. And I have paid good money to keep it that way.

I hope you understand that it's not a question of whether credit is deserved or not. It's a question of how brand free a site wants to remain.

Sure you can. If the fields are from the standards in user table then just use:
$userinfo[xxxxx] where xxxx is the field name. Otherwise you need to modify the php code too.

Do you mean in Top Posters? That it dosen't shows Admins? That's the way that I coded it. It shows only Top posters from usergroup=2 (Register Members).
I believe that it has no sense to show Admins and Moderators as they're be always there. In all sites always Admins and Moderators are Top Posters. Let's give a chance to real Members.

Needs to add a new function in php file and a variable to the template file. Please don't forget that a new block with Featured Members will be add today.

Have you setup usergroup permissions for Rating? The option Rating in MemberIndex->Options is just for the interface (to hide the rating box) and for code optimization (to avoid runing the queries).

also the Top poster Last Month is showing a Member who was Banned over 6 months ago as last months top poster.

Yes, avatar is chosen.

Are you sure that the noavatar image that you've is .gif and not .jpg?
Where are you storing photos? At databse (the defailt) or in filesystem?

My FTP must have failed during upload because the noavatar.gif did not exist in the images/misc/
99.9% sure I put it there but old age could be deceiving me.

My Site is community based so on registration we ask people what community they are from and then we ask them for the link to that community. I was wondering if you could make it so under there name in the Member Index?

I added admins and super mod usergroups to the overall posters myself though as I thought they should be included as members also, lol.

Just changed:

WHERE usergroupid=2 OR 6

to

Follow these steps:

ACP MemberIndex->Options: Featured Members must be YES
ACP Usergroups Permissions: MemberIndex: Can Set/Unset Featured Members? Must be YES
Member listing: At the footer of every record on the left side, there is an icon. Click it and the Member will become "Featured". From that point the icon changes to another one. Clicking it again, unmark the Member from Featured.

I've a little question :

There are two blocks : Last month'sTop Posters and Last week's Top Posters.

I think there is a little error with phrases. For example, when a member post today, the post count is update (+1 post) in the block Top Poster Last Week. Thus, it'sn't the last month but the last 7 days.

I think it's Last 30 days and Last 7 days. No ?

I noticed a small typo tonight. While viewing the "registered members" index page, I noticed that the "skype on" image wasn't showing. I found the problem and have a simple fix. Below is a screen shot of the problem.

Works fine, but there is no rate option in the member search result page. Please do add rate member feature in search result pages like feature member button.

The memberindex page takes some time to load and the system load goes high when the page is accessed, I've got around 23,000 members and ~400,000 posts. Is there anyway the result is cached and maybe updated once in an hr using cron rather than pull the data each time the page is requested.

I just installed this in 3.7 Beta5 and have the following problems:
- top posters last week/last month: posters with just 0 or 1 post are listed, instead of top posters
- Top posters overall: random members seem to be displayed.
- Top members: there does not seem to be a rating function, so there are no top rated members.
- How do you set featured members?
- Member list: rows are not aligned, as height depends upon height of avatars.

I know this might be a tedious thing to code, but it is a feature I see on many large Social Networking websites. Plus it makes members want to change their profile.

So far it appears to be a great mod, however the instructions of where to exactly put the file is at least confusing. Can I get a better clarification of upload structure? If not i'll move on to others.

The memberindex page takes some time to load and the system load goes high when the page is accessed, I've got around 23,000 members and ~400,000 posts. Is there anyway the result is cached and maybe updated once in an hr using cron rather than pull the data each time the page is requested.

+1 to that. It takes over a two minutes to load on my site. Definitely not something I want accessed a lot. Very nicely done though. :)

Are you sure that the noavatar image that you've is .gif and not .jpg?
Where are you storing photos? At databse (the defailt) or in filesystem?

--i do not have memberlist button in navbar that's y i'm not getting memberindex button also in navbar? can i add it in quicklink or usercp menu?

1.- What I've in mind to improve next days

* To change the info given in blocks for most active with number of posts and other statistics
* To change the profile in listing by adding more info (eg biography etc). All of them can be turn On/Off by admin. Also to place in profile a popup with related options (eg Email, PM, Add to Buddy etc).
* To add Advanced search, but much more powerfull than vB's. This is the reason that I left empty the left side bar.
* To add in profiles other useful information pulling them from popular mods (eg vbCredits).

Sounds great and I am waiting for the update before I install.
