I would like to find a way to host videos for my members, similar to youtube, or something like that. Does anyone make a product that pluggs into vbulletin that will acomplish this?

well my vbulletin install is on the same server as the videos would be on if that's what you mean, I have my site on a dedicated server. My forum is also fairly small so I don't think the server load should kick up too much, if it does I will start using adds on it to offset some bandwidth boost. I'm trying to make my site profitable so I'm trying to make it "feature rich"

Oh good your on a dedicated server.

Yes, I am on a shared server currently (moving to vps soon) but I have been writting a large AddOn/Product that will allow uploading/hosting/playing of video files (shared or dedicated hosting services) , basically duplicating youtube but better. :D Its almost done but I have to work too so in my spare time I work on it.

You can upload from your control panel and have a "My Videos" section, etc. The uploading is for members only. Its 100% natively integrated with vBulletin with only 2 or 3 edits and the rest is new php files, templates, plugins so upgrading your vB is easy. I will be selling it as soon as I get the rest of the basics done.

that is awesome! if you need another test board let me know, i'm currently running two 3.7.3 sites, and one 3.6.8 site. I'll be looking forward to the product!

Thanks :) Im getting alot of interest in it and I only hope I can finish it ASAP :D

Its going to have two configurations where one will be for sites running on a shared server and another for running on vps/dedicated servers.

I see alot of addons that only link to youtube or are completely separate standalone products but nothing with full integration. The standard search will even search comments and thread titles etc. Security and permissions all utilized too.

Perhaps some feedback on what I have in place now will help before it is completed and have to rework the code will help. I have just setup a specific subforum for it on my site which is where it may be better to post.

I dont know, because it wont be free, if I can post an official thread here when its done or even if my posting here is ok or not but I guess I may find out soon :D

sweet.. I'll sign up for an account on your board then and follow along in the process. BTW it's funny I just noticed you run a Mustang board.. this will probably raise the price of the software for me, but I run a GM performance board, and a Corvette board, and just started a Local based Mustang board. haha..

My mustang site is on hold until I get my gangstayoda site completed. Too many things going on at once. ;)

Thanks :)

I just registered on your board, started uploading a video, and your site died.. I hope I didn't kill it. :( The look and feel is awesome! It integrated very well.

btw as soon as I get my first video up, I'll post my other video of me racing a couple mustangs at the drag strip

 No its a host issue currently limiting uploads to 10MBs (working on getting them to boost it). I sent you a PM from my site too.

Thanks for the props! :)

Oh I will be implementing my product on my Mustang site too when its done. I have video of a Mustang kicking the arse of a corvette :D

RobDog, what's the status and availability? Looked at YodaTube in action, looks fantastic. I've been searching for a YouTube clone, but yours seemed to have it beat.

By popular demand at my site, I need to get something going fast. Oh, is it 3.7 compatible? Is it available, if not, when?

this has definately caught my eye and will be tracking

hopefulyl it's affordable.

However for us on shared hosting, what sort of options would there be? I've got a couple users in particular who are absolute tech noobs, who have video's they want to upload.

Its practically done now and I have the Beta 1 version running on my site. Installed without issue. 100% dynamic installation via xml product. No manual template edits at all. :) Had to hold the flash player back from release but coming soon.

Thanks for the interest :)

Sorry for hte delay but I dont go on this site too much lately. Been spending alot of time working and spare time working on my sites and YodaTube™ :D

This sound like what I am looking for. I am also up for purchasing a copy of it if needed to help the development along.
