Hello, I asked this here before and they recommended I use Wordpress, however I cannot get it to work, and I know there has to be another method for this.

Basically, I have a forum set up for website news, where basically we post threads explaining website-related news (not for the forum, but for our main front page), and then it automatically posts it on the home.html page I have, so the user can see part of the thread, and a "Read more" button will link them to the actual thread in the forum. The home.html page will be on the root directory, whereas the forums will be in a directory called forums.

Another website I am a staff member on does this. It's http://www.hellandheavennet.com

But when I look in the acp for that site, wordpress is not in the active products list.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You need a CMS. There are many that work with VB. I use vbadvanced.com. There is also subdreamer and Mkportal.

Some may know of some others.

I'm sorry for bumping this, but I am at a similar request for the same thing.

I tried a few CMS systems, vbAdvanced being my first. But nothing worked the way I had originally intended to.

Basically, on that main page (hellandheavennet.com), there are a bunch of tables that show news articles. Refer to the article titled "More Square Enix on Microsoft press conference". This comes from this thread (http://forums.hellandheavennet.com/showthread.php?t=4048). I am a staff member on that site, and whenever we post a new thread in that forum, such as the "More Square Enix on Microsoft press conference" thread posted by Zidane, the thread contents automatically appear on the main page (hellandheavennet.com).

When I asked him, he said he uses no CMS, but that's all he said about it. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.
