Spider-XV2 ($40 skin for free!!)

Since I have now moved away from PHP-Nuke completly, and am going to design for vBulletin, I decided to convert one of my nuke commercial products to vBulletin, and GIVE IT AWAY!

Thats right, "Spider-XV2" has been released for vb.

*SKIN INSTRUCTIONS ARE IN THE PACKAGE*

Here is what this FREE skin comes with:

- Matching categories images
- Matching Navigation bar
- Matching Link bar
- Custom coded postbits, with matching images as well
- Flash navigation, that can be easily edited from a simple XML file
- Blank Header image
- Various psds to custom the skin a bit.

Far as I know, skin should work with 3.7 without any problems as well. I had a few testers check it out, but myself has not personally tested it.

This skin should work very smooth with 3.6.x

Sorry to those of you who have downloaded it. I found a small error, the flash url in the skin was wrong.

I have fixed this issue, and have re-uploaded the fixed version.

Great skin. However I noticed when I tried to revert the Footer template it came up with the error that there is a "malformed <if> on line 80"; there was no corresponding <if>. I would have corrected it myself but I was note sure where to put it. Or can I just revert it without any problems? Thanks.

For some reason it does not work with the CMPS system. I just has a bunch of boxes with red X's in them on the CMPS page. The forum page works great though.

That is odd. It should work just fine. If you uploaded the skin to your root, the layout should read like this: public_html/skins/Spider-XV2/

And if you have your forum installed in a folder named "Forum" in your root, then it will throw the images off on the cmps, and vice versa.

Check this out and see if that is the problem. If its not, then we can try something else.

It works. But there is only one other thing. Where is the drop-down menu to select another style in the footer?

This is an awesome skin, one thing I cant figure out though is how to input the calendar option into the navigation bar. I have other skins on the site and it does show up on the others. I just cant figure out why its not showing up on this skin. Any suggestions?

@ Hunnty: You will have to manually open the navbar template from the styles menu and add the link.

@ Extreme24: I have had a few testers install it on 3.7 beta, and they have not reported any errors as far as the skin goes. I myself have yet to check it out.

I have tried for about the last hour trying to get it to work right in the footer, and everthing I tried distorted it. If you want the selecter to show up, this is about the only way. Sorry I could not get it to work in the footer for you.

I'm testing this on my board and have one problem. In the postbit legacy view the box showing the users avatar looks great for people who have smaller avatars but staff with rank bars and such it's too wide and is throwing the blocks off. Is there a default setting to change it or would we have to change all ranks to a smaller size to keep the boxes together?

The reason it is like that, is because the block is coded and designed for a certain width. Avatar sizes that are 100 x 100 px should be fine. This is not a version issue, its just the block is only so wide. Now, you can strech the height of the block all you want, it was coded to expand in height. Sorry. =)

Yes, I do custom skins, but since I have released this skin into the vb world, I have gotten a LOT of requests for custom skins, and I am booked up for a few weeks, but if you dont mind to wait a few weeks, then I will add you to my list. =)

There should be a folder named "sources" or "extras" or something along those lines. If you open it, you will find a blank image were your logo/name of your site goes. Simply edit that in photoshop, or any other graphics program. You can even use windows paint, but I do not recommend that lol.

ok i dont have a folder called forum so i uploaded in public_html , but the problem is that it shows the header twice , no sign for forums , they dont appear even i tried all stuff u mentioned in other posts so what should i do

again i uploaded in public_html and so the dir is public_html/skins

and i dont have a folder that vbulletin uploaded in

Wow, just thought I would check in here, and seems like this skin is popular. I have seen it all over the place, and that is something to be proud of.

As a result, expect me to release "Zemus-X", "Death-X", "Corrosion-X", for free, and maybe a few more other skins to boot.

To my knowledge, the way i code these, they will work with 3.7. I have seen a few sites install them without any modifications on 3.7, and they seem to work just fine.

ok i will post something here, all of xiphers skins will work on 3.7, i have tested all of them, the only thing is, you see in your admin is the recommendations for template updates, but the skin will not show any errors to the users. but i do plan on talking to xipher about maybe me and him upgrading these specifically to 3.7 as well.
