I have always thought that my homepage was really unorganized. So I decided to design something fresh for my site, but keep the same structure. This is a work in progress screen shot. Please critique this design and please be Harsh!

Well I like it for the most part. The only things I think you should change is alignment of the login details (move them further over to the right) and in make the navigation & footer text bold and a dark blue/ turquoise color. Other then that I like wat you have done.

I personally find very funny to see a designer with a reputation ask for reviews of his front pages from time to time... you seems unsecure, Andrew.. lol
actually, i always find your work very professional. you have a sense of balance, and the eye-candy stuff is not "too much"...
a detail: the PAST and OTHER blocks are having the same look even if they are not representing the same kind of content... i would change the content of the testimonials to show the last X words of 2 or 3, not a list of titles...
but the overall is great... :) (you share with us?!)

I'm not so much insecure, but rather interested in what the end user thinks. :)

Thank you very much. I appreciate the kind words.

I was thinking the same when it came to the everything looking similar. I figured that maybe it would be easier for any user to understand what the site is about. I have updated the icons in the blocks that you mentioned to help better distinguish the two. The reason for this is I believe that when someone vists the site they are not getting a CLEAR message of what the site is about. 74% of all visitors leave in the first 30 seconds and that is what I am trying to fix.
lol nexialys what do you mean share with you? If you need a "promotional" skin I can provide those to you for free. :D
Also this is abit off topic, but congrats again on the new addition to your family. I hope your daughter has 10 fingers and 10 toes . Andrew CROSES his fingers! :erm:

actually, the only thing you could provide me would be a parenting-related style so i can suggest some of my clients to buy from you.. lol otherway, it would be complicated... i love your stuff, but i do not have the talent to make such designs.. i'm more into typologos and CSS design myself!
