Insert New template?

Hello, i am developing a new skin.
I need to add a template in it.
could anyone please tell me how to insert new template??

yeah i done that thing..
but it isnt being shown on the postbit.
i made postbit_onlinestatus_legacy making some changes in the original template postbit_onlinestatus
and the original one is called by writing $post[onlinestatus] , so i tried to write $post[onlinestatus_legacy] to call mine, but it shows an empty space :confused:

can you tell me whats the problem?

For the hook location you could use postbit_display or something like that, I can't remember the exact name off the top of my head.
