Put into usergroup when joining

I need a mod that will allow people to pick a usergroup they want to join when they register. Let me explain.

When someone goes to register on my forum I want them to Have to choose a usergroup, So for example, when someone goes to register there would be a list.

Example:

What kinda car do you own?

-Ford
-Honda
-Chevy

End example

Then depending on what they choose they would be put in that usergroup. Will call it the ford usergroup, if they pick ford. I also need the option for them to be out into multiple usergroups if they pick more than one choice.


So is there a mod out there that will do this?:erm:

If i do recall there is a old 3.5.x hack for this, but it is not multi optioned and it is out dated, i would suggest hiring a coder to create the hack for you.

If you are talking about them being in multiple user groups, then I think what you want to do is put them all into the main Registered usergroup and then have them optionally added to Secondary usergroups (Ford, Honda, Chevy).
