I recognize the design. Did you acquire the rights from John?

nice style! Just curious, what CMS/Portal is used on vbstartup.com? How do you code those site navigation menus on the top of the site :-D

Thanks for your comments everybody.
It's powered by vbAdvanced CMPS, I just did some editting so it doesn't look like an out of the box installation.
The site navigation is just a custom template I inserted.

I've been looking for a chrome/silver skin for a while and this is very very nice.
But I'm running v3.6.8. :(
Does anyone know of a skin like this for v3.6.8?
Thanks

Hey, I was testing the skin and I can't create a bigger logo that the default. When I set the height higher, the header stretches. How can I fix that?
Also, I like the default logo with the crown. How do I create a bigger logo? It's so small. :)
Thanks.

The actual logo part of it is easily resized because it's text and a photoshop shape. The problem you're going to run into is the header is bitmap and will blur. There's no real way to increase the logo size without the header stretching.
Attached is a gif of a resized logo. To accomplish this I just changed the image size of the logo psd to 200%.

So with the logo size bigger, there's no way of avoiding the header stretch? I want to make the logo bigger and have it centered. If everything goes well, i might want to buy the branding free license from u guys. :D

Turns out you can resize the header, with a little effort. I don't know exactly how high you want it, but attached is a PSD of the header at 200px. To change the height adjust the canvas size in photoshop, resize layer 2 accordingly, then move layers 3, 4, and 5 to the bottom of the canvas.
You'll then need to create a 1px wide image from the header to repeat and save it over /images/chromite/gradients/gradient_header.gif.
To center the header image just add text-align: center to the div#header selector in the CSS.

I created a 200px height for the /gradient_header.gif and it does not look good. I changed the image size with photoshop. Is there something I did wrong?

Aww I changed it back to normal. It was the /gradient_header.gif image that did not match with the logo.gif. Can you create the gradient_header.gif image for me? I just changed the image size from 114 to 200 and I guess it stretched.
I did edit the css too to 200px.

Attached is a 200px high gradient_header.gif... there's no way for me to match it exactly without seeing the logo.

Hey I just finished installing the style, but it seems there's a small coding error on the lower right part of the screen. the border is incomplete in both IE 7 and Firefox 2.0.

What can I do to fix this?
Thanks!

You've got an unneeded </div> in your footer that is closing off the background early.
Trying removing the </div> after your footer text links.
Hello PyroNet,
Is there a way to make this work with vBulletin 3.6.8? When I tried importing the XML, it brings up the following message:
This file was created using a different version of vBulletin from the one you are running.
Your version: 3.6.8
File version: 3.7.0 Beta 3
Edit: I found out how to get it to work. I just had to edit the version in the XML file. :)
Okay,
You know the tree thing that shows up at the top, like:
vBulletin.org Forum / vBulletin Styles and Graphics / vBulletin Styles / vBulletin 3.7 Styles
That doesn't appear on my forum.
Also, the Private message part doesn't show: "Welcome back user". It just shows the amount of PM's you have.
Is there a way to fix that?

This style is only supported and guaranteed to work on the latest 3.7 Beta.

how do you fix the UserCP and Qk Link dropdown using VBa CMPS's when the forum is under /forum and the CMPS uses the root?
PyroNET

You either need to make sure the navbar is shown on vba pages or cut and paste of the dropdown menus from the navbar template to the header template.

I no longer own vbStartup.com and as such do not service this style anymore. You will need to contact ForumMonkeys.com for news regarding a 3.8 update.
