Where are my posts going???

What is going on? PLEASE HELP! :)

some how every few days i seem to lose a bunch of posts on my counter

it will be at 39,600 posts one day and then the next day 38980

we are not running any prunes, or mass deletes, mods are not deleting things... like that

any idea? thanks has happened a few times now

Are you sure u dont have a cron prune setup?

- check for any custom Scheduled Tasks that may prune or move posts
- moderated or deleted posts/threads
- products installed that may be doing any of the above

only thing i see running in tasks that could possibly have anything to do with it would be hourly cleanup and hourly cleanup 2?

other than that no prune

Are you talking about posts or threads? And are you talking about the counter on the bottom of the index page or in the forumdisplay pages? And if it is posts, can you actually find a thread that used to have 100 posts and now has 50 (or whatever)? And have these posts actually disappeared or are they soft deleted or are they still there when you open the thread? And are people's post counts changing also? And how about in the posts table... can you see that one day there are 39000 entries and the next day only 38500? And do you notice if they disappear randomly or is it by date?
