Host complains about high server loads due to Openads

Like the title says, my host is complaining about high server loads related to the script running Openads.

I'm only running about 15 banners at the top right of each page in VB. Is there a better solution?

If you want stats, then openads is the best for that, if stats dont matter remove openads and use a js rotating script to control the adds.

or

Get a better host, seeing as your current host limits it cheap accounts and overloads the server to make more money when they force you to upgrade, because of what openads is doing to their overloaded vhost server.

I'd suggest discussing the performance issues over at the OpenAds forums (http://forum.openads.org). They say it's highly scalable. What kind of traffic are you getting that it's generating "high server loads?"

I've heard that I can just turn off the cron job and this will fix the server load issue.

How can I do this?
