Hi there;

I've been asked to help someone with their vBulletin. However, their admin cp looks different than mine.

Their admincp seems to have all links to Jelsoft and vBulletin removed from all pages in the admincp, modcp and everywhere else. Is this a hint that the board is pirated? I think that is general practice for all nullified vBs; so Jelsoft can't track their referrers or whatever and find out about them. The "Latest version" is also gone; it's at the bottom of the admincp page instead of at the top and it's wrong - the latest version is 3.6.8 PL2 not 3.6.8

Just wondering.

I've attached screenshots of my admincp and their admincp; notice the differences?

Pirated? yes? no? maybe?

Yes, that could be the sign of a pirated vBulletin. Is the check home intact or was the link removed? The "Latest version available: 3.6.8 Patch Level 2 (http://members.vbulletin.com/)"

Yes that's also removed; they placed text at the bottom and it's wrong. I edited my original post with the info.

Bad sign indeed. I'd submit a piracy report @ http://www.vbulletin.com/piracy.php and let Jelsoft check it against their customer database and deal with it.
