I have found myself trying to search for mods/hacks here and I always get an error stating that my search word is to short for example if I search for "pm full hack" because PM is only 2 characters I cant search on this. Cant we limit the search down to two characters so we dont have this issue?

This has been covered before - the answer is No. The minimum is 4 characters and will remain so.

Princeton thanks for the detailed information... I run VB and I have no issues running searches with a min 3 character set after a slight modification in mysql database.
I will ssearch for Private Message rather then PM problem is that some hack titles are labled as "PM"

You realize that setting the FULLTEXT limits to 3 characters or more is just as server intensive as not using FULLTEXT at all right? :)
"Private message" usually always works because it's mentioned in the thread more often then not.
