Hello,
I was wondering if Jelsoft is thinking on enabling OpenID support for VBulletin and if so when?
This would really be very cool as a lot of us already use it on a lot of sites.
Thanks.

Jelsoft have no direct/announced plan to integrate OpenID
but you can request a paid job related to this, i know that some coders have created some integrations with this system... they do not release their work for free, but you can always ask.

Why dont they while everyone else is working on it????
Invision (next month), phpBB, Firefox, Vista SP1, Yahoo, AOL all include openID.
We already pay for the licenses?

Questions on new features on default vBulletin should be made on vbulletin.com. developers will never see your suggestion here.

This is a false arguement... you pay for a license that have a list of features A, B, C... if the list of features does not include the feature Z, you did not pay for it.
When you buy a car, do you pay for the gaz?!... no, you pay the gaz seperately when you need to travel...
Same for vBulletin and all the softwares you list. the reason why IPB have OpenID in it is because they have the clients pay for the features they have in the software... IPB does not have the same features like vBulletin, so it is not comparable...

Any hint about where/who to ask about this paid modification?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe signing this petition
http://demand.openid.net/site/vbulletin.com
helps developers to see the common interest in this plugin. But it'll only help if as many users as possible gonna subscribe. It's just an OpenId away ;-)

so much trouble asking someone to invent a rocket when someone already posted that people have done this already. Contact someone who already did this...

Having been in the security biz in my not so distant past, I view OpenID with suspicion, and not something I'd implement on my site. Most internet users haven't a clue regarding password management.
