I used the xml from the first page and it works.. but doesn't show up on visitor message editor. :confused:

When I used this, there was a smilie box on visitor message also.. but not smilies.

Would rather use the authors way being it put it on both but can't get it to work.

just download this file vbulletin_smilies_qreply.js then upload the file to clientscript folder

Ok... downloaded the file and uploaded to clientscript... now the simlies appear.... however... when you select them they show in the quick reply box.... but they do NOT show in the post.

Find:

Ok, I'm very new to all of this and still learning as I go. I got the smile drop down in the quick reply box, but there are no smiles in it. I see I need to download the other file and upload to the clientscript folder. But I don't know what that means or how to do it. Please help!

I installed then uninstalled -- I prefer not to have a pop up window to show smilies -- its too web 1990's. Instead I installed https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=1542538 which is a little bit more complicated to install (modify template and upload JS file). That worked great.

BTW, this mod installed perfectly - I just didn't like the pop-up window.
