Help?

I am trying to show users online / total number of users in my header.

I understand that the queries are not ran until after the header, which is why it is in the Who's online box.

I have removed all the Who's online box, because I don't want it shown. How can I run a query or something to allow me to show total online / total members in the header?

Any codes more than welcome
