110K members in a year/should I wait for 3.7 Gold or upgrade now?

Alright... 2 things..

1. my forum realraptalk.com is about to hit 110,000 members, this is great achievement in a year or so, I used some shady tactics and have some questionable content but I think it's a great regardless, biggest growing forum according to big-boards.com and etc, all thanks to vbulletin and vbseo... Why i said this? I dont know, I just want your opinion on something like this, don't take this as bragging or anything cause it's just been my hobby/side project...

2. Should I go ahead and upgrade to 3.7 right now, or should I wait till Gold Release... I'm eager to try these new features and see how it goes, like what's the WORST thing that can happen?

Worst - You upgrade and a bug causes your site to "break". Then the backup you have turns out to be corrupted and you get two start your site all over again. :)

It may be wise to take quite a few back ups when you upgrade (at least 2). That's what I did and no problem yet. Oh, and to remove any modifications such as VS Interactive Profiles which modify the member profile layout and stuff, and to disable vB Credits if you're using that.

Use vB3.7 on a test site to quench your thirst for it. But wait for the stable/gold release till you upgrade. Simple really. :p

Keep 3.6.8 as 3.7 is still in development.

If it works and everyone is happy with the way it works, why take the risk in an upgrade. Some of the biggest boards never feel the need to upgrade and I for one will probably wait until version 4.
I admin a board here (http://www.thedieselgarage.com/forums/index.php?) with 15K members and we're still on the 3.5.4. Most members don't care about the addons and just want chat or information and are happy with what their used to.

I have more than 7 forums man one of them have more than 1 milion of member
and I don?t upgrade even see the gold coming
don?t doing things make you cry in future believe me :D

It doesn't matter how much the new functions coming are a teaser, it is best not to install a beta version on a live board when it is used as much as much as yours. You are doing great as is. 3.7 Gold will be here soon enough. You have waited a year for a forum software upgrade. You might as well wait a few weeks more.

Thanks guys... another 20 days and nothing yet... i been running beta 3 on my other board (only about 15K members), and had no problems... (like 2 weeks)

I'm just going go ahead and upgrade...
