This tool converts thread prefixes created with the Thread Prefixes (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=123033) modification into native vBulletin 3.7 format.
The following items are being converted:
all existing default prefixes
option to show default prefixes

all forum-specific prefixes
all other prefixes
Compatibility
This tool is compatible with vBulletin 3.7.X and 3.8.X

I think it was a valid question, he just wanted to know if there was any difference between the converters. As I'm yet to convert, I'm curious also.

Think I would be more inclined to use one created by a vbulletin developer like andreas would be my answer .... No offence mean't to the coder of the other converter obviously

There are some sigificant differences between this tool and the other converter:
The other tool does not convert the markup (it makes all prefixes bold), the settings, default prefixes, does not rebuild the language - this tool does.

That's the last thing I needed for upgrading my forum. Thank you, Andreas. :)

Maybe you could work your magic on Zoints Tags. This worked like a charm, thanks.

How do you convert mystics 'per forum' setup to vb 3.7s 'per prefix set' setup?
After conversion with your tool, I have a mass of prefix sets, which have the same prefixes in them. I need to merge them in some way.
Do you have any ideas for this?

How do you convert mystics 'per forum' setup to vb 3.7s 'per prefix set' setup?
Each set of prefixes -> one prefix set.
Eg. if you have X forums with prefixes -> X prefix sets.

Yes, but I have 46 identical sets now.
Plus for some reason there are a bunch of prefixes that are not in a set. Most of these prefixes are identical to the prefixes in the sets.

A conflict was detected in the bitfields. You cannot continue with the installation of this product until this has been fixed. The conflicts found were:
* Bitfield Collision: prefixrequired = credits_cantearn
:( what should I do?

Just wanted to say, your upgrade plugin worked flawlessly, (don't forget to upgrade your old thread prefix mod to the latest version (you can do this on vb3.7 too).
I wasn't able to get the other script the other user posted to work, but you saved my day!

Yea, I uninstalled it after I converted them, seems to be working perfect. Make sure you revert templates and delete any of the phpfiles you uploaded previously.

I am wondering if I am doing this correctly... When I try to install this product it just hangs at the "Importing Product, Please Wait..." screen. How long should I let it sit there? I am going to bed and am going to let it sit overnight. hopefully that works.

I only have version 1.6.1 installed (of the old prefix version). Do I need to upgrade that to 1.6.2 prior to using this? (I was on vB 3.6.0 until this past weekend).
Also, I assume I import it via the Product Manager? How do I then execute it?
And I still won't have the prefixes in a separate column, right? they'll still be in-line with the thread titles?
I've created ONE prefix set in the new vB version. Should I delete this prefix set prior to doing the conversion?
How are the various converted prefix sets named (naming convention) so I can tell what forum rooms they were assigned to before?
Will this Product work in vB 3.7.2?
