Post thank you hit counter

I'm using the Post thank you hack and I want to display a hit counter so that everytime someone hits the thanks button some number increases by 1. What should I do to make this happen?

You could use a normal hit counter (google search for one) and edit the source of the counts to be complient with your thanks hack.
