I don't know if this was done on purpose or not (I don't keep up like I used to) but the older vB 2.x modifications are no longer showing up in the profiles.

Although I don't use 2.x anymore and I understand it's old and outdated. From time to time I still go browsing through the older hacks via user profiles looking for ideas that never got ported over. Chen had a (long) list of modifications that I have to go searching for now because they aren't all listed in one place anymore.

As far as I know they've been put in the archive which probably removed them from profiles.

Yes, the 2.x modifications were archived. But I see no reason for them to be removed from the profiles, this is probably something Paul must've overlooked and happened when the threads were archived.

Could you not put them back, or at least make it collapsible by default. Some of us put a lot of hard work into vB2 modifications and the profile is one of the only ways people can see our "portfolio".

vb2 is dead as far as modifications are concerned - the number of downloads/installs this year is very small and all that ever gets posted in the forums are "is this available for vb 3.x" type posts. Therefore we have archived them - and I can't see any good reason to keep them in peoples profiles anymore. You cannot hang on to the past forever.

Think of it as a CV. Just because your work is outdated and the technology is barely in use anymore, doesn't mean that you wouldn't put it on there. It's valuable experience and would help you get a job. That's why I want it back in profiles :)

Well I disagree and think it's totally pointless - but lucky for you, most of the staff agree they should remain, so I'll look at putting them back.

Just out of curiousity Dean, how many vB2 jobs did you do in the last year based on your port-folio?

None, but that's not to say that my experience with vB2, and past projects haven't helped me get clients this year :)
